Pictures of Buffalo at Old Faithful Geyser

Buffalo at Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park, USA

Pictures of Buffalo at Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park

This is a picture I captured yesterday, 01/13/09, from the Yellowstone National Park Old Faithful web cam. The web cam updates the scene there every 30 seconds. Old Faithful Web cam is the link to the National Park Service web cam page.

The estimated eruption time of the geyser is usually given above the picture so you know when to look. The eruption time is around every 1 and a half hours for Old Faithful geyser. There are several other geysers in the web cam view.

It's difficult to see buffalo there at all, but to see several during an eruption of the geyser was awesome. It was late in the evening and there was still good light. There were around 15 of the magnificent animals there at the time.

There is also a streaming video web cam at Old Faithful. It provides live video of the Old Faithful area in Yellowstone.
